News for Ohayocon 2009:

Ohayocon announces additional guests for its ninth year

Ohio's Largest Anime Convention enters its 9th year!

Columbus, Oh, December 8, 2008: The first anime convention of the new millennium continues to bring the best of anime right to the heart of Ohio! Ohayocon, one of the pioneering anime conventions to first spotlight actors and producers within the United States is proud to offer a truly astonishing group of guests to join this years honored Roastee and Senior Vice President of ADV Films Matt Greenfield.

Ohayocon will be making its sixth consecutive appearance at Hyatt Regency Columbus on January 30 - February 1, 2009. Registration is high gear so don't be left out in the cold! Ohayocon is proud to announce:

Vic Mignogna, most well known for his role as the metal armed Edward Elric from Fullmetal Alchemist returns to Ohayocon. Since his last appearance, Vic has been very active appearing in the hottest series today including One Piece, Bleach and Ouran High School Host Club

Jerry Jewell is making a rare appearance outside the state of Texas. One of FUNimation Entertainments earliest talents, Jerry has appeared all of their biggest series which include Dragon Ball Z, Yu Yu Hakushi and Blue Gender and I almost forget, he was the voice of Kyo Sohma in Fruits Basket.

J. Michael Tatum, a new face to the world of anime voice acting has been on a hot streak lately topping off a breakout year with his portrayal of Kyoya in FUNimation's hit series Ouran High School Host Club. You can also catch J. Michael in Black Blood Brothers and Aquarion. When not behind the mic, you can find Mr. Tatum ADR directing your favorite series at FUNimation.

Chris Patton, one of anime's most prolific actors returns to Ohayocon after a four year siesta! One of Texas's native son, Chris has been in numerous series at both FUNimation Entertainment and ADV Films, most notably Full Metal Panic and Fullmetal Alchemist.

David Williams is currently an ADR Director for ADV Films as well as the DVD Producer, voice on the Internet and keeper of the Suck Bunny (in name only because the Bunny has a will of his own). Along with Matt Greenfield, David has been one of the most influential members of the anime community for over 15 years.

Antimere Robinson, Packaging Design and Graphics Manager for FUNimation Entertainment. If you have ever purchased a DVD from FUNimation, then Antimere has done his job. Responsible for graphics department since 2002, Antimere has been responsible for over 100 brands, including Fullmetal Alchemist, Dragon Ball Z and Fruits Baskets. But his talent goes beyond visual, Antimere also voice acts in numerous series.

Dave Lister, artist, writer and veteran of webcomics, Dave is currently producing Paradox Lost, an online manga filled with space pirates, ninja hordes, crazy alien girls, and more caffeine than the FDA recommends in a lifetime. Applegeeks is a bi-weekly webcomic about four college students, a Mac-obsessed robot, an imaginary squirrel, and the often crazy, always strange lives that they lead. The creative team is comprised of Ananth Panagariya (writer) and Mohammad "Hawk" Haque (artist). http://www.applegeeks.com.

GAIA Online will make its first appearance to Ohayocon! Favorite destination for millions, Gaia Online is proud to be hosting a special Gaia Online gathering event where members can meet each other and exchange usernames while hanging out in a fun and entertaining atmosphere. Come get to know your fellow Gaian's and the Gaia staff on a personnel level. All attendees will receive a special item for Gaia's new MMO ZOMG!
