News for SITACon 2008:

SITACon2 announced

UTICA, NY - February 23, 2008 - The SITACon Convention Committee is proud to announce that Central New York's First anime convention will be returning in 2008 as SITACon2! It will again be held in Utica, NY using buildings at the State University of New York Institute of Technology (SUNYIT).

The convention is being held on October 10th through the 12th of 2008. The convention is described as a celebration of all things anime and manga (Japanese comic books), and SITACon will continue to be podcasting centric, podcasts being audio programs distributed over the internet, much like radio on an on demand basis.

The SITACon Convention Committee hopes that this event will help the anime community and industry gain wider exposure in New York State.

About SITACon: SITACon was the First anime (Japanese animation) convention in the Central New York area, debuting in 2006. The convention is planned and prepared by a group consisting of university students.

About SITACon Convention Committee: The SITACon Convention Committee started out as an idea by SITAC (SUNY IT Anime Club) and started with members exclusively from the club. After the idea became more of a reality the Committee opened to persons outside of the Anime Club in the interest of bringing a convention to the area.
