News for Anime Boston 2008:

Anime Boston announces its second round of guests

Death Note and Fullmetal Alchemist leads head an impressive group

Boston - Anime Boston, the largest anime convention in New England, announced its second round of guests today. Guests include voice actors Colleen Clinkenbeard, Aaron Dismuke, Todd Haberkorn, Brad Swaile, Michael Sinterniklaas and industry guest Tom Wayland.

Colleen Clinkenbeard is a voice actor/ADR director/ADR scriptwriter/ Line Producer for Funimation Productions. Her credits include Yuko in xxxHOLiC, Éclair in Kiddy Grade, Rachel in Case Closed, Hawkeye in Fullmetal Alchemist, Oleander in Lupin III: Dead or Alive, Himawari in Shin Chan, Sister Esther in Trinity Blood and Hotorubi in Basilisk. She has also been featured in Dragonball Z, Dragonball GT, Yu Yu Hakusho, Gunslinger Girl, Spiral, Speed Grapher, Black Cat, and Moon Phase, as well as the video games: Aeon Flux, Fullmetal Alchemist, Fullmetal Alchemist II, Spike Out, Battle Zone, Blood Rayne II, Dragon Ball Z: Shin Budokai, and Dragon Ball Z: Budokai. As ADR Director, Colleen has worked on projects such as Kiddy Grade, Fullmetal Alchemist, Sakura Teisen: Ecole de Paris, Kodocha, Negima, Case Closed, Moon Phase, and Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicle.

Aaron Dismuke started his voice acting career with a few small parts in Fruits Baskets and Kiddy Grade. It wasn't long before the Texas-born voice actor showed real talent, and quickly catapulted to a critical leading role in Fullmetal Alchemist as Alphonse Elric. More impressive is that he starred in Fullmetal Alchemist when he was only 11 and that he did most of that difficult work while speaking into a big metal bowl. Aaron resumed the role for the movie Fullmetal Alchemist: Conqueror of Shamballa, as well as several video games based on the series. More recently, the now 15-year-old Dismuke can be heard as Ion Fortuna in Trinity Blood.

Todd Haberkorn has been acting either on stage or on set for over 15 years. Receiving his BFA in acting from Southern Methodist University, Haberkorn continues to work professionally primarily in Texas and surrounding states as an actor, director, producer, and writer. His first major role with Funimation was in Suzuka under the direction of Caitlin Glass. Since then, Haberkorn can be heard on Hell Girl, Shuffle, and other animated properties. Currently, he is in studio recording the first season of xxxHOLiC as Watanuki.

Michael Sinterniklaas is a voice actor and director and owner of New York based studio NYAV Post. Current voice over credits include Leonardo on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Dean Venture on Cartoon Network's The Venture Bros., Mikey on Nick Toons' brand new Kappa Mikey, Mahad / Dark Magician on Yu-Gi-Oh, Tunnel Rat on G.I. Joe Sigma Six, Stuart on Magical Doremi, Riven on Winx, Seviper on Pokémon, Tanner on Kung Fu Academy, Kevin on Princess Natacha, Akibi on One Piece, and Professor Titerton in the C.G. feature Impy's Island. His directing credits include Magic Users Club, Berserk, Giant Robo, Osamu Tezuka's Jungle Emperor Leo and The Phoenix, The Weathering Continent, and Ah My Goddess.

Brad Swaile, Vancouver-born and raised, started as a voice actor as Ace in My Little Pony Tales and soon afterwards, he landed his first anime role as Mousse in Ranma 1/2. Since then, Swaile has landed major roles in many Gundam series as Amuro, Quartre, Dearka and Auel, X-Men Evolution as Nightcrawler and most recently, Death Note as Light Yagami. He also is Rock in popular series Black Lagoon. He is also drummer for his band, in.ovo.

Tom Wayland is a graduate of New York University's Tisch School of the Arts with a degree in acting. In more than four years at Central Park Media, Wayland has produced more than 200 different anime programs before moving on to voice directing on such titles as Alien Nine, The World of Narue, Shootfighter Tekken and Ichi the Killer. In 2004, Wayland founded TripWire Productions and has gone on to direct numerous dubs for home video and TV broadcast including Mew Mew Power and Magical Do Re Mi seen nationally Saturday mornings on Fox. Wayland has also become much more active as an actor landing recurring roles in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles as Jammerhead, Mew Mew Power as Minimew, GI Joe Sigma Six as Stormshadow, Magical Do Re Mi as Oliver, Marvin and Reanne's Dad. Wayland is proud to announce his newest project - Voice Director on popular anime TV series Pokemon.
