News for Tora-Con 2010:

Tora-Con 2010 announces new and returning guests

ROCHESTER, NY - January 27, 2010 - RIT Anime Club is excited to welcome Eric Vale into the roster of Tora-Con 2010 guests, along with returning guests Geek Comedy Tour and Armcannon!

Eric Vale is an actor who has generally spent the bulk of his acting time under lock and key in sound booths voicing characters in anime such as Trunks in Dragon Ball Z, the Tournament Announcer in all of the Dragon Ball series, Sanji in One Piece, Yuki in Fruits Basket, Kanta in Desert Punk, Yoshirin in Shin Chan, and Kymblee in Fullmetal Alchemist among many others. In addition to the time he has spent as an ADR director, Eric is also a prolific writer, having scripted over fifty anime programs as Head Writer with FUNimation Productions. Outside of this, he also writes his own material for the film and the literary worlds. Most recently, his story The Beautiful Middle of Nowhere was published in Slice Magazine. On the weekends, he builds bridges to the future, crafts a superconducting supercollider in his backyard, and moves mountains with his bare freaking hands.

Armcannon is an internationally renowned 5 piece band from Buffalo NY that have made their mark remixing video game classics. They skillfully reincarnate classic game melodies the 80s and 90s into a progressive-metal triumph of nostalgia. An Armcannon show will reawaken your inner child and make you realize just how much you yearn for more. Since 2007 ArmCannon has been wowing the attendees as headliners of annual game music convention MAGFest [magfest.org]. They also just released their second CD, so now you can purchase (and enjoy) Armcannon 2: The Return of the Attack of the Legend of Pizzor.

Also returning for Tora-Con 2010's new Tora-Con Nightlife, our 18+ events starting after 9PM, are the funniest stand-up comedians from the Washington DC area, Geek Comedy Tour! Spiderman Musicals, 3D Alien Fights, and more Anime that were probably pitched as "Harry Potter with BEWBS"... the past year in fandom is ready for mocking. The Geek Comedy Tour is an elite squadron of super-dorky comedians ready to tell jokes SO NERDLY, SO AWESOME, SO MIND-BENDINGLY LULZ-WORTHY, that you'll be snorting milk out of EVERY FACE HOLE. (Note: the Tora-Con staff has asked that we stop using the words "FACE HOLE" in our bios. We did not listen.) So come on out and see the Geek Comedy Tour's return to RIT.

Eric Vale, Armcannon and Geek Comedy Tour will be joining our previously announced guests: Johnny Yong Bosch and Eyeshine, Monica Rial and Chris Sabat!

As a reminder, Pre-registration ends March 25th. All pre-registration forms must be post-marked before this date to be considered. Everything dealing with pre-registration can be found at our website!
