Biography:
Rev. Barrish is the Senior Shinto Priest of Tsubaki Grand Shrine of America, the North American branch of Tsubaki Okami Yashiro, which is one of Japan's oldest and most prestigious Shinto shrines, with a continuous history of more than 2,000 years.

Rev. Barrish was the first non-Japanese person to receive the License of the Shrine Shinto Priest. He has received the license of Guji/Shinto Chief Priest and also has a 45-year history as a teacher of Aikido.
