Anime Convention

The co-owners of Yourminicon have been evaluating the schedule of events for the year and have decided to drop our schedule to half as many events, spread apart by two months. This means we have cancelled WI, GA, CA, KY, ID, and TX.
We have already spoken to several of the other guests who would have been at WI about being at OH instead, and many have agreed. Kerrigan Mahan and Barbara Goodson are already on-board. We will be reaching out to the artists and vendors whom have purchased booths and offering to transfer their booth to OH or refund them. For attendees, we will make the same transfer offer or refund regarding passes.
The decision regarding the cancelled events was for several reasons. Firstly, we have a small core staff(two people) that manages scheduling, marketing, sales, and operations. With less events, we can focus our efforts on each event that is left and promote them better. Secondly, we have discovered via several vendors that we approached that there is another event going on the same weekend. Between that and the heavy winter weather that has affected WI this month, we felt there would not be high enough attendance to warrant the event.
