Comic Convention
HerdCon is Marshall University's annual pop culture convention that the Marshall University Libraries started in 2017-18. We are gearing up for our 2022 event, on March 5th. We try to include as much of the university as possible, encouraging student groups, faculty, and staff to participate either with discussion panels, as vendors/exhibitors, through events during the con. Our first year we had over 1000 attendees, around 80 vendors, and we livestreamed our panel discussions to public libraries across the state and shared them on Facebook as well. Our furthest traveling guest came up from North Carolina to attend the single day event.
