Anime Convention
Manitoba's Anime Con is Back:
Bigger and Better than EVER!
This summer Winnipeg's largest anime event is returning to the University of Manitoba. Ai-Kon is an all ages event that is aimed at promoting Japanese animation and culture to the public.
Ai-Kon is coming back to Winnipeg in the summer of 2003, after a year long hiatus. The largest anime event that Manitoba has ever seen is returning this July 25-27, and we are planning on becoming a permanent fixture in Winnipeg.
Our return to the convention scene will take place at the University of Manitoba; the familiar and successful venue that over 500 Ai-Kon attendees last gathered at to experience the anime, the games, the contests, and the selection of merchandise that vendors had to offer.
