Biography:
Asheru -aka "The stone that the builder refused" is a Peabody award winning writer, veteran educator, US State Department Global Hip Hop Cultural Ambassador, and social entrepreneur hailing from Washington DC. He has a Hip Hop music career spanning over two decades as an independent, international Hip Hop artist, releasing albums as a member of Unspoken Heard, and several subsequent solo projects, spreading his passion for the culture on his travels to over 25 countries and counting.
Asheru is also well known as the voice and pen behind the theme song to the hit TV show, "The Boondocks", for which he also contributed several songs and writing in the shows first season.
